Today is probably the most excited I have ever been about my quit. Today at work my boss surprised us with a seminar he wants the entire staff to attend next January. It is a 7 day, 6 night trip to Maui, Hawaii. All expense's paid even our meals. If this would have came up when I was a smoker I would of been so stressed out about how I was going to sneak away and try to get my fix. I may have even told my boss that I couldn't attend due to whatever excuse I could come up with. I have been a dental assistant for the past 15 years and I have always hidden my addiction from my co-workers. This trip will be right around my 10 month quit anniversary. There is NO WAY, I will give up my quit now knowing that im going to have an all expense trip paid to MAUI!! Just thinking about it stressed me out. I thought about that recently and just hit my head.....stupid....stupid....stupid!! Isn't this freedom wonderful!?? I've had the chance to go lots of times, (I used to work for a wholesale company that sold trips to Hawaii.) But I managed to let it slip away...... always saying I'll go tomorrow. I also used to work for one that did European river cruises.......... same story there. Always tomorrow. Here I am now. Never traveled. :( You are doing great, and you deserve this!!
