The 30 day pit (give or take a couple of days) is awful. I sat at my computer and cried while I read posts for at least 6 hours. Lady and others saved me and gave me the will power to continue. Hang in there. You will get over the feeling of just existing and start living again, Staying SMOKE FREE. Hang in there guy. It's one of the worse parts of the quit. We have been there and we know how bad it sucks. You will make it. You have what it takes. Go ahead and hide under the covers. You are in the process of breaking the worse addiction there is so you are allowed. It's ok to kick, scream, cry, break dishes, rant, rave, laugh, punch a pillow, whatever it takes...just don't smoke and when none of that works for you, you still don't smoke. Put in a funny movie and veg out on the sofa. Call it a reward for making it past 30 days. Allow yourself to go through this pocess for it is the process of breaking free of the addiction. Remember this time anytime you think of smoking and remember how awful it is. You don't ever want to be in this possition again. Remember that everday is one day closer to never feeling this way again. You ARE doing it Phillip! You are making it and you are doing a kick butt job. Just keep going. We are here holding your hand and helping you get through it. Phillip...how are you feeling today? Hopefully you've gotten some rest and are feeling better. If not, take a day off and chill. It does wonders for the soul. Riverdale Man, No "tough love" from me!! :eg: Just put on that Mr. Rogers sweater, make a cup of tea and sit back, enjoying your new, smoke free life.. ahhhhhh. If you're lucky you might find a rerun of Barney on the TV. ;p Who needs those nasty old cigarettes anyway! Not us cozy quitters! I'm glad you have awakened and are waiting for the first flowers of spring! Everyone now.. group hug!!!!!!! Ahh.. that was great!!! [b][color=Purple]Be Strong. Be Smart. Hang in there, Phillip. You're in the 30-day pit. It will pass. The only thing smoking will do is make you have to go through it again. Not a good choice. ;) Mentally clamp down and wait it out. You can and will get through it. Philip Congratulations on 30 days. Do not give up. Talk back to that Junkie. It is going to get better. You know you can do it. I know you can do it. The hot bath and Pj's sounds good. It's a choice!
