I see that depression is a big withdrawl symptom and I can absolutely relate to that, along with a list of other emotional/psychological problems. I am thinking about going to talk to someone, maybe a counsellor. Has anyone else gone that route? If so, did you find it helpful?

I was able to get counseling through my employer's employee assistance program. It was free and confidential. I thought about what kind of counselor would understand addiction and recovery issues, and was able to go to a substance abuse counselor. She was great and helped me deal with anger management, grieving, relaxation and healing issues. I highly recommend it!
