Jan Get rid of the smokes, and any paraphenalia, pick your self up, shake yourself out, stop beating yourself up and get back on track. No point in pondering the past, step into the smoke free today and future. You can do this. Jan... no one will be more disappointed in you than you are in yourself. Get rid of the cigarettes and continue along your journey to a smoke free life. Do not smoke again. Each time you smoke, you are introducing nicotine back into your system and starting the quit process all over again. By giving in to the addiction you have now told yourself it is ok to have just one. It is not ok to have just one. If I had just one today, I would be back to smoking full time again. I know this for a fact, that is why I don't have the first one. Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and get back on the quit wagon. Smoking kills. You are fighting for you life. Keep doing it. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 496 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,931 Amount Saved: $1736 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 18 Mins: 17 Seconds: 28

whew!, that was a close one Jan. YOu go girl! Onward and upward, smoke free---yipee! As Marie says..smoking is bad for you. So glad that you nipped it in the bud and conquered the nicodevil. You should be sooo proud of yourself. Where did the cigarettes come from, Jan? Get rid of them immediately and stop smoking. No one here is going to beat you up...just take back control of yourself. Jan, I was really encouraged by this yesterday and so I hope it encourages you today. Yours is not a failure but a step.
Often ridiculed, [Thomas] Edison tried over ten thousand different experiments before he finally demonstrated the first working light bulb on October 21, 1879. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 10,000 times? Edison replied, "I didnt fail 10,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 10,000 steps."
We need your light in this world as much as we needed Edison's and it shines much more brightly when not obstructed by smoke ;p You'll get it done in as many steps as it takes. Quitting is a process.
