Erika, We would never abandon you. We are not here to judge, just to help and support you as you practice this new skill. Only you can determine what's best for you. I think that learning from this slip will help you in the long run. You're taking great steps in the right direction. Keep it up and keep us posted on your quit date! We can't wait to celebrate your first smoke free day! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

Erika... you CAN do this. Except for this time, I couldn't ever make it more than just a few hours. I quit this time cold turkey. Do not light that next cigarette. Get rid of all cigarettes, lighters, ash trays, butts, Everything... Throw it out! You will not need that stuff because you will no longer be a smoker. As far as the medicine goes.. fiddle stix! If you want to quit...quit. No it isn't a picknic. Hell week is Hell (that's why they call it that). When your desire to quit outweights your desire to smoke, you will quit. Erika...it's fine to wait till the wellbutrin really kicks in...but be aware that there are no magic bullets that take away the cravings completely. The junky in us screams when we say no...and it can seem pretty daunting when he is having one of his hissy fits in our heads. this addiction has a sly way of making you "reason" as to why you will just keep smoking a bit longer...or just a "few" a day...or till you get more "ready" to quit. Don't prolong your quit date....the longer you do, the more strength the addiction sucks up. It's sly that way. stick close and remember...you CAN do this...withdrawal as bad as it seems DOES pass Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1792 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 71,715 Amount Saved: $10214.4 Life Gained: Days: 233 Hrs: 20 Mins: 32 Seconds: 59
