THINKING ABOUT SMOKING

Sunshine. I think this happens to all of us from time to time. I know it happens to me and to other long time quitters I talk to. We have addictive minds and who knows what triggers the smoking thoughts after a long period of time. Some times we can identify what it is as you did above and some times we can't. Each and every day we make the choice not to smoke. Once we are this far in the quit, that choice is really simple. When smoking thoughts start, we stop and think. We reason it out and then realize the junkie voice inside and kind of laugh it off. Don't let this bother you. As long as you remain in control, the junkie can't hurt you. Congratulations on you awesome quit. How is your group going? Hello Sunshine, You know Friend, I think most of Us go through that phase in Our quit, It's like memories of the past, For example, after about a year into my quit, I would go to the Grocery store and buy several sacks of Groceries, and I would come home, put them all away nice and neat, and look out on my back porch, and say to myself, Well, Now its my time to go out on the back porch, sit down with a big glass of ice tea, and have a cigerette, No, I didn't, but that was my thinking, because I'd done it so many time's before, Habit's, there hard to break sometimes, but only time can heal that thinking, Congrat's on the 405, they look good on Ya, keep it up, Smokless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1440 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 43,218 Amount Saved: $6163.2 Life Gained: Days: 327 Hrs: 14 Mins: 9 Seconds: 37
