You seem to forget that non-smokers who have never been within a million miles of a cigarette get short of breath with exercise. It's natural. Just get on with it! :)

Can someone explain this?
Here I am over 2 years quit and I still get really out of breath with physical activity.
Yesterday, I went to the gym and walked 1 mile on the treadmill and did 2.5 miles on the bike. I could really feel my lungs. When I play golf and I walk, I find myself out of breath going up and down those hills and have to stop to catch my breath. When I swim, I can tell the difference of not smoking but it really takes my breath away as well. I'm an active person and definately not a couch potato.
Am I just out of shape or are my lungs still healing? Any ideas?
