thank you so much for your kindess and thoughts for Fred. I just wanted to say he is in the hospital now, he cannot eat or drink, so he is getting fluids via IV and he has an infection in his lungs. He is not doing good at all I am afraid. Sometimes where there are no words to describe a feeling -- somehow it travels anyway, farther and deeper into places and hearts that need it most. Fred will never just be a statistic because of you. Sue, I'm glad you posted this. Early in my quit someone posted a story about a friend of theirs that tore my heart apart. I printed it out and carried it around with me for that first entire year. It saved my quit over and over again because I couldn't imagine saying the words he had said. If I can find it I will bump it up. It is very moving just as your story is. I will keep you and your friends family in my prayers. Remember, God is always capable of miracles.
