Here ya go Katie... I was browsing half.com where they have books for like 99 cents or less, and i got this book called "Overcoming Panic Disorder: A womens guide" by Weinstock and Gilman. I started reading it and it seems to be very informative and helpful. It tells you other people's stories, but it also gives tips on how to ease the attacks using your mind, imagination, etc.. You might want to check it out if you can.

been there done that. I can totally relate to what you're going thru. I know it's hard, and i often find myself asking "how", but when you get such a big attack, you need to talk to yourself and change your thoughts. It's a hard thing to do when you're going thru this thing that leaves you feeling helpless, but you really do have the power over it. By talking to yourself and telling yourself that you'll get thru it and you've gotten thru it before, etc, it changes your thoughts and eases the panic. You should really look for the post that i wrote about a book i'm reading. If you can get your hands on that boook, it really helps

hi not sure if anyone is available to chat right now? but i just had the hugest attack of my life to date... it was horrible and i still can't shake it off and it happened at least 5 hours ago... it actually lasted almost 3 hours... i have never had an attack that lasted that long before... has anyone else had really long intense attacks? i was too scared to move, for at least an hour and then i paced around the house for the next hour or so and tried to breath. i'm not even sure how i got it to subside
