Dear Allison, That is SO true. I see the look in my sons eyes when I "go down" its heartbreaking and fills me with guilt and shame. I have been going through a bad patch, my brothers fiance suffered a stroke and my bosses son died of a drug overdose at age 19! Also a friend of my sisters dies at age 49 suddenly. All these things have sent me into a tailspin, I have convinced myself I have a heart problem with the chest pain and pain in my teeth and jaw. I am praying very hard to GOd to heal me, if for no other reason for my son. God bless, Debbie.

I came across this: "Worry changes nothing, one of the greatest compliments you can give someone is your full and complete attention. If you are not engaged in the moment- friends and family will stop enjoying your company". When I read that, it hit me hard. I think of all the times I have not enjoyed, that I was worried and not focused at what was happening. I think how sensitive children are and how they can sense things. I want my children to have great memories of me. How I was alive, happy, and excited to be with them. Not lost in my make believe world of hopelessness and despair. This is meant as a encouragement to be there MENTALLY for your children. It's kinda one of those stating the obvious things, but I just wanted to share because it was one of those "A-ha moments" I had this week! :)
