I have been on effexor for about 8 months.It has really helped with my Major Depression,But! the side effects from the med. have been terrible and out weigh the any good effexor is doing for me.I went to my Doctor she said some people do have {some} side effects from this type of medication and to try and stay on it.I did not like her answer and looked on the net to see if I was the only one that was feeling like this. I found the following web site...it really opened my eyes about this drug(poison)...and found out I'm not alone.
