I believe it is the price you paid when you bought cigs. Not now. Because you did not buy any with that new tax.

Can we add the cigarette tax increase to how much we paid per pack on our quit meters. Will it mess up the whole thing or will it just calculate the increase from that day forward?

Right. I think if you are still not smoking you should be able to increase on your quit meter how much cigarettes would be costing you everytime they increase them. But I would want it to add to the total you already have thus far, not add to the total you had at the beginning of your quit. Does that make sense?
