Hi all Day 24 now(after 50 years smoking)........ I just answered a note from Jan and it made me realise how important one aspect of quitting is and that is KEEP BUSY. Do anything but sit and think about it. I have cleared the garage,the car is spotless(Clean ashtray as well).I have cut the lawns without becoming breathless. I am in danger of becoming a bore,I dont mean to be I am just so pleased with myself I cant shut up about it. On Sunday it will be my Ruby wedding Anniversary and it will be the first time in 40 years my wife will have celebrated out anniversary with a non-smoker. There ,something else to think about a target date to achieve rather than just day by day. So Sunday is the anniverary target date one Tuesday I have my appointment with the non smoking practice nurse target date two. Sat 9th is my birthday target date three Sat 16th I go to Spain for 3 weeks hols(Thank goodness I hear you say he will shut up)target date four See what I mean think positive and try and push smoking out of your head and mind. It does get easier.. I will shut up now and do some work Good weekend to you all and thank you SO much for your help along the way. STAY HAPPY!
