Iread this first time as 'I am a terrible artist!'

I feel my stop is only just complete!

Analogy really.
I am a textile artist. This means I make pictures stitching instead of painting.
When I get the idea for a picture I make a light sketch of the idea, then I assemble the fabrics and threads I am going to need to see it through.
When I first start to stitch on the fabric I get really excited at the results. I am pleased to be doing it. Then, after a short time it is just a matter of stitch, stitch, stitch to get to the finished picture.
Every so often something goes wrong. A part doesnt work, doesnt look right. I have to stop and take time to remind myself of the intended final picture. Whatever remedy I consider necessary.
Sometimes I am tempted to throw the whole thing in the bin but then I have to think of all the work that has gone in to it so far and I know its worth persevering to finish it even if I have to slightly change the strategy or the materials used.
Every day I pin the piece of work on the wall and look at it as I walk past and go about my business and think how good its looking or noticing bits I have to work on tomorrow.
Then one day the picture is finished it looks good. I feel good. A job well done.
Ring any bells?
