Just dropping in and I can't believe I'm at 35 days already. I'm on chantix and I don't know if it's the chantix or the fact that this is my second serious quit in one year and the memory of the first quit is so vivid in my mind that I know what to expect, but here I am, smoke free for 35 days and getting a little more excited about my quit. What failed for me in my last quit is I got cocky and was too comfortable with my quit and thought I could smoke just one cig and I am trying very hard not to let that happen again. I want to be quit for good. I've given up alcohol for the time being and that's ok with me, because this is a huge trigger for me. I notice the times I think about a cigerette are the times I'm bored and having nothing "interesting or fun" to do. Let's face it, laundry, dishes and cleaning the house are not fun and interesting. So, I make tea, or I take a shower, or I stalk one of my kid's to come talk to me, which freaks them out a little I think (lol). I'm loving my 35 days of being smoke free and I'm proud of myself and everyone else who has even made it one day smoke free. Everyone celebrate your committment to yourself and pat yourself on the back, because quitting smoking is the most important thing we will ever do for ourselves!!! CAN I GET A WOOHOO!!!!!!
