Hi Sparky,

Know this will pass.  You are doing great.  Keep on venting here and keep staying strong.  Review Milestone 4 for some great coping strategies.  Water and physical activity is a great way to beat cravings!  You are on your way!

How do you plan on rewarding yourself for getting through the first month?

There are no good reasons to smoke. Do not engage the demon in conversation. Hang in there: This too shall pass.

I think week three is the hardest week of any quit!!!  I know the nicotine is out of my system.  I know it would be stupid (is) to smoke.  The chatter OMG the chatter.  But what I find that works for me is ICE water, not just water, but ICE water.  This time around I started drinking ice water instead of just water and for some reason is works much better.  Also some kind of physical something, like yard work, work outs or long walks and of course SSC.  Week three also brings on the munchies.  All I want to do is eat and eat and I have a freezer full of baked goods and no willpower.
I can not think of one good reason to smoke, so I will do what works and not smoke   I need to post so I can get rid of some of these thoughts and hope it helps someone and in return your response may give another tool to use.  So this is my rant today.

Keep the Quit
Sparky
